When I woke daylight had just broken. ካብ ድቃሰይ ምስ ተበራበርኩ ብርሃን መዓልቲ ገና ተሰቢሩ ነበረ። I attempted to rise, but I could not get up. ክትንስእ ፈተንኩ፡ ክትንስእ ግን ኣይከኣልኩን። I had happened to fall asleep on my back. ኣጋጣሚ ኣብ ሕቖይ ደቂሰ ነይረ። And now my arms and legs were fastened to the ground. ሕጂ ድማ ቅልጽመይን እግረይን ኣብ መሬት ተኣሲሩ ነበረ። My hair, which was long and thick, was tied down too. ነዊሕን ረጒድን ዝነበረ ጸጉረይ እውን ንታሕቲ ተኣሲሩ ነበረ። I could only look upward, unable to move in any way. ብዝኾነ ይኹን መገዲ ምንቅስቓስ ስለ ዘይከኣልኩ ንላዕሊ ጥራይ እየ ክጥምት ዝኽእል ነይረ። The sun began to grow hot, and the light hurt my eyes. ጸሓይ ክትውዕይ ጀመረት፡ እቲ ብርሃን ድማ ኣዒንተይ ይጎድኣኒ። I heard a confused noise all around me. ኣብ ዙርያይ ዝተደናገረ ድምጺ ሰማዕኩ። But I could see nothing except the sky above me. ብዘይካ ኣብ ልዕለይ ዝነበረ ሰማይ ግን ካልእ ክርኢ ኣይከኣልኩን። After a little time I felt something alive. ድሕሪ ቁሩብ ግዜ ህያው ነገር ኮይኑ ተሰሚዑኒ። Something was moving on my left leg. ኣብ ጸጋማይ እግረይ ገለ ነገር ይንቀሳቐስ ነበረ። It gently advanced over my chest. ቀስ ኢሉ ኣብ ልዕሊ ኣፍልበይ ገስገሰ።
