Anson Dorrance is the legendary women's soccer coach at the University of North Carolina. His program is commonly referred to as ""The Dynasty."" He is not only the most successful coach in the women's game-a four-time National Coach of the Year-but an ambassador of the game, a highly sought-after motivational speaker, a major force in training young players through wildly popular soccer camps, and a successful television broadcaster. His teams have won 17 NCAA national championships, and many of his former players have gone on to become the most accomplished players in the world, including superstar Mia Hamm. Anson has produced best-selling soccer videos, and is the author of Training Soccer Champions, written with Tim Nash. Gloria Averbuch is the author of 13 books on sports (running, soccer), health and fitness. Her books have been translated into a number of languages and have received various recognitions and awards. Averbuch is particularly proud that The Vision of a Champion, which has been reprinted numerous times, has been highly-praised by soccer coaches and players in the U.S. and worldwide. Her daughters are lifelong soccer players: one a professional with U.S. National Team experience and a two-time National Champion at the University of Carolina; the other, a former youth national player, is currently an executive with Major League Soccer (MLS).
