Overview

The VISION is the membership handbook for GlobalDestiny International Ministries of Nanchang, PRC, and Detroit, Michigan, USA. It is published, here, for the members of GlobalDestiny to have access to their own personal copy. As Y2K was approaching, Bishop Raymond Allan Johnson (then, Elder Raymond Allan Johnson) commented, about the internet, and the nascent new age of technology, that This is an amazing time to be alive! he observed that the internet was God's gift to the church, to enable us to do ministry on a global scale, no matter the size of our ministry. Just a few years later (Summer of 2004) Elder Johnson launched Abyssinian Church of the Living word, holding meetings in Lorain, Ohio, and Detroit, Michigan. The name was changed to Destiny Fellowship in 2005 - The Year of Destiny - and became global, with NanchangDestiny, in February 2006.The VISION is written for the members of GlobalDestiny, but can be a very useful planning tool for new church plants, and other emerging ministries. It takes an innovative approach to building structure; an includes a concise, and ecumenical doctrinal statementWith the second decade of this new Millennium fast approaching, God continues to bless us with new innovations in ministry, and new ways to extend ministry to a global audience. It is my desire that GlobalDestiny continue to have its corporate finger on the pulse of the Millennium. On these pages I lay out the blueprint for how we can accomplish that. The Bible says, Where there is no vision, the people perish. (Proverbs 29:18). I am excited that we are, and will be, a people of VISION!
