OverviewShe's loved him all her life...and just found out he's real. When Dominic Raven sent his crew into cryo-sleep after their ship crashed, he expected to awaken after only a few hours, not thirty-seven years. But the manner of his waking is even more surprising-bundled into a fur cloak with a very beautiful, naked woman. Gudrin Torsdotter has always been fascinated by the gray man, the life-size image who warns intruders away from the sky ship that brought her people to an ancient land and time many years ago. But when she accidentally wakes the captain of the ship, she learns the gray man is a real person who is much more fascinating than the image. While these two navigate their growing love, they discover that Dom's ship didn't crash on Gudrin's planet by accident. Faced with betrayal and an impossible choice, the Viking shield maid and the starship captain must discover a way to save both their worlds and find their happily ever after. After the 4th book, The Viking Who Saved the Future, was released I renewed my acquaintance with Tor and Kiana, Beren and Zabeth, Ned and Elizabeth and the community they spawned. Each book is a great read on its own, but the entire series is compelling. Maureen tied all the threads together, creating a multigenerational family saga happening within a very long time span, but also within a single lifetime. My only complaint - I was left wanting more - more time in Katherine's alternate reality, and more time in Dom's future. I am looking forward to the next offering from Maureen Castell. I'm sure she won't disappoint. ---Amazon review - 5.0 out of 5 stars Don't miss it! Gudrun Torsdotter has danced with the Gray Man all her life. Even loved him, in a way, although he's only the life-size image who warns intruders away from his crashed ship. Then she accidentally awakens the real man from his frozen sleep. Dominic Raven thought he and his crew would be in cryo-sleep for a few hours after their crash. Instead it was decades. And he wakes up wrapped up in a fur cloak with a beautiful, naked woman who safely brings him back to life with her warmth. What follows is a rollicking, non-stop action story with three marvelous characters who triple-handedly save an entire civilization from corruption. Three? Yes, three. We must not forget Fionn, the overgrown puppy who, one suspects, will keep on getting into mischief and ensnaring hearts and complicating and/or saving the day long after his muzzle turns grey. The Viking Who Saved the Future is the fourth book in a series that's as enthralling as you would expect from the pen of a winner of no less than two major awards from the Romance Writers of America. Don't miss it. I'm glad I didn't. ---Goodreads review - 5.0 out of 5 stars Author InformationTab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
