OverviewHere is an alphabet book unlike any other! Illustrator Aaron McKinney's unruly letters spar and struggle against one another, making for a rendering of the Latin alphabet that will appeal to children and adults. These letters play off one another, linking them into a playfully deranged narrative: E was erased, while F took flight; G was gored, which made H hurl. McKinney's lively illustrations and gothic word play make for an unforgettable book that is sure to get people talking. He was fortunate enough to spend his childhood scattered across the world from Scotland to Indonesia to Egypt. The constant upheaval caused him to turn inward and he began expressing his thoughts through art at a very young age. He attended Ringling College of Art and Design where he received a BFA in Illustration. McKinney's work combines a childlike fixation on funny creatures and odd hybrids with a peculiar, nightmarish monumentalism. McKinney lives and works in Atlanta with his wife and their two children. He's currently working on a children's book. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
