Author Information

The author is a native Texan, raised in a small west Texas town with older siblings and cousins. Surrounded by an oilfield on one side, a dairy farm on the other, a salt flat behind, and the busy Highway 80 in the front, she loved all of the cows, horses, cats, rabbits, dogs and foxes (but not the rattlesnakes). She moved to Fort Worth in 1956, and sixty-plus years later, remembering all of the cats, dogs, rabbits, possums, and the occasional goat that wandered down the road, she started sketching again. She imagined a little barnyard village with occupants of all sizes and shapes, and she imagined them all being friends.
