Peggy Stanton was the ABC Television network's first female news correspondent in Washington, DC, in 1966. Since 2012, she has used the reportorial skills acquired reporting the bad news on secular networks to report the Good News on Catholic networks, including Ave Maria Radio, where she has hosted several shows, including the ""Order of Malta Minutes with the Catechism,"" the basis of her 2023 book with Marian Press, The Order of Malta Minutes with the Catechism: A Pocket Guide to the Catechism of the Catholic Church. Peggy's columns and articles have appeared in numerous newspapers and magazines, including the Washington Post, Washington Times, Saturday Evening Post, News Leader (Florida), and Medjugorje magazine. Her paintings have been exhibited in museums, churches, and art galleries. Peggy is the author of The Daniel Dilemma, a book about the moral man in the public arena, and co-author and illustrator of How to Help Your Child Eat Right, one of the earliest guides to better nutrition for children. Her memoir, From the White House to the White Cross: Confessions of a TV News Correspondent, was published in 2022 by Marian Press. Peggy was the founder and president of a special events firm, Creative Solutions. The organization specialized in governmental, diplomatic, journalistic, and religious seminars in Washington, D.C. She was the founder and president of the Mary Anne Foundation, named after the mother and grandmother of the Prince of Peace, whose motto was ""Peace through Love."" The organization sponsored ""Kids for Peace"" activities for thousands of grade-school and high-school children in schools across the country, and participated in refugee missions during the Balkan war. Peggy served as president of the Republican Congressional Wives Club, the International Neighbors Club, and the Nassau Republican Women's Club. She has been a board member of the Order of Malta American Association, Pregnancy Aid, and the Ivy Foundation, and currently serves on the Order of Malta Dental-Medical Clinic board.
