Overview

This book is a guide to assist students on where to start and walk them through four years of education. Everything that I've chosen to share in this guide is from personal experience, as well as research. By no means do I have all the answers, but I do have first-hand experience. Although the focus of this book is for the student who attends a four-year university, each chapter has insightful guidance relevant to anyone. I would like for each person to be ready for what is to come next in their lives. This book will answer commonly asked questions as well as the not so commonly asked questions about education and beginning a career. The success of our youth is vital to the growth of our communities, nations, and world. With proper guidance and the right support, we can lead them in all the right directions. Whether or not you choose to further your education beyond high school, you must still be educated.

DeAndria Lewis is a Tennessee native who relocated to North Carolina when she was ten years old. She is a graduate of Winston Salem State University where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and a minor in Dramatic Arts. DeAndria is an aspiring best-selling author and actress who has been seen on the runway, as well as worked in television, film, and theatre. DeAndria has also showcased her talents doing voice-overs for programs to help children who have been diagnosed with health diseases. In 2016, she co-authored her first anthology, Camouflage. In this book, she reveals untold secrets and events that shape the woman she is today. DeAndria is currently working to help educate students at a local charter school. Her goal is to be able to give back to her community in ways that will elevate future generations. Her passion is the inspiration behind The Undergrad. DeAndria exemplifies leadership and poise in everything she does so she can achieve the most successful outcomes. She is an avid learner and hopes to use her platform as an actress and author, to become an integral part of the change in the world, that she wishes to see.
