OverviewThe Ultimate Encyclopedia of Boxing is the world's most comprehensive single-volume illustrated work of boxing reference. As well as biographies of the greatest boxers of all time, from John L Sullivan and Jack Dempsey, through Sugar Ray Robinson and Muhammad Ali to Anthony Joshua and Floyd Mayweather Jr, there are reports from outstanding fights across the ages and, uniquely, a record of every world championship fight ever contested. It considers the prominent men behind the scenes such as promoters, trainers and managers as well as famous boxing venues, administrative bodies, rules, culture and ambience of the fight game. There is also a section celebrating boxing in the Olympic Games, recalling the outstanding feats of, amongst others, Joshua, Nicola Adams and James DeGale. The book concludes with a detailed timeline of boxing history. No serious student of boxing can afford to be without The Ultimate Encyclopedia of Boxing on their shelves.
