UGLY DUCKLING THE

Overview

Mr and Mrs Duck are appalled by their strange-looking new offspring and they send him off to find his real parents. Toddlers and young children will love helping Ugly Duckling look behind all the flaps to meet the various countryside animals who might be his mummy. There's a very near miss with a naughty fox before he meets the swans and sails merrily off down the river with his real family.

Reviews

Mr and Mrs Duck have five lovely eggs and a large, splodgy lumpy thing that looks more like a potato. When they hatch they have five lovely, fluffy ducklings and then something that is too large and lumpy to be one of them. The sad creature goes off in search of its mother and is saved just in time by its real mother in this humourous lift-the-flap book. (3-6 yrs) (Kirkus UK)
