Thomas Hall has worked as a writer and author, lieutenant in the United States Navy, consumer packaged goods industry executive and entrepreneur. In his spare time he leads archaeological scuba diving expeditions. He has published a number of articles and one book on the T.W. Lawson, and has established himself as the leading expert on the ship.
