In June 1963 he graduated from high school in Belvidere, N.J., then joined the United States Marine Corps in October that same year. During his time while serving as a Marine, Bill received many Combat medals and several other awards and decorations. He retired as a Captain of Marines in 1987. Bill also holds two BA degrees from Campbell University, N.C., in History and International Studies. Bill's other accomplishments have also included the production of seven music albums. Two of these were The Legend of The LoneStar Bear , Book one and two. Because of these albums Bill Darrow was the Activity Award Winner of the Fun & Games Magazine (1994). He also has cut several other albums that can be found on his web site: http: //whdarrow.blogspot.com Currently Bill lives with his wife Betty and his little Shiatsu Brandy. Recently he became an ordained Christian Chaplain with the Chaplain Fellowship Ministries. Bill has four children and four grandchildren and one great grandson.
