OverviewTeeny Tiny Tomi is the true story-as told through the eyes of an abandoned puppy and her guardian angels-about some of life's challenges and lessons of compassion. By simply extending a helping hand, small acts of kindness can be very powerful, becoming gifts to both those who receive and those who give. The teaching lessons suggested at the end of each chapter can be learned at any age and are perfect conversation starters between parents, grandparents and teachers with the children in their care. It's never too early to teach our young ones the power of simple human kindness, to make them open their eyes and really see those around them who might need a helping hand. Perhaps, if there were more books like this one, our society as a whole would begin to become less violent as it healed emotionally. But the story's message is delivered even more powerfully, in my opinion, because it is not in the slightest preachy. This endearing tale-and the delightful illustrations-will tug at your emotions and charm you, in and of itself, even if you ignore the larger implications. -Ann Collins, Book Reviewer Author InformationSue Meller is a first-time author.
