OverviewThis book was written in 1710 by Samuel Richter under the pseudonym Sincerus Renatus (""sincerely or genuinely reborn or renewed""). It presents a philosophical world view on the nature of matter through scores of openly described alchemical experiments. Richter claimed this knowledge emanated from a Masonic/Rosicrucian/alchemical secret order or society which became named as the 'Aureae et Rosae Crucis'. A small group of students formed around Richter and his mystical order continued until the late 18th century. Richter's work sparked off the revival or rebirth of interest in Rosicrucian alchemy in the eighteenth-century.
