this book is a 'must buy' for you Nacelle a valuable source of information for the restorer Old Bike Australasia all highly informative stuff and very satisfying eye candy Sump. Whether you're a hardscrabble collector/restorere or a part-time enthusiast of classic British bikes, Harry Woolridge's The Triumph Trophy Bible is the kind of technical and historical resource you'll be glad to have. The book provides in-depth technical detail and historical background on the Triumph Trophy from its inception in 1949 through the fifties and sixties. The book tracks company and model history in only four chapters in year-on-year in chronological order, making it easy to locate the details of model development for any model year in the range. In addition, for the restorer and collector the Appendix include detailed colour charts, model year build totals, works registered Trophy models and carburettor setting specifications. Extensively illustrated with images of typical model year bikes as well as trials, ISDT and other competition models and historic period advertising examples, this Bible leaves few questions unanswered. - Ultimate MotorCycling.

Back in print due to popular demand, this book is indeed a bible with its short company history and complete year-by-year history of the Trophy twins from 1949 to 1983. Not only informative, this book is an excellent read and highly recommended. – Jonathan Hill."

Author Information

After National Service in the Royal Air Force, Harry Woolridge applied for a job in the Service Department at the Triumph Engineering Company, and was lucky enough to be selected. Thus he began a working relationship with Triumph and its motorcycles that would last thirty years: an experience Harry says he would not have missed at any price. After a few years in the Service Department, Harry joined the team in the Experimental department until he was promoted to the position of Assistant Quality Control Manager. Later, in a reshuffle of titles, he became Inspection Foreman for Motorcycle Assembly and Production Development. With the formation of the Meriden Co-operative, Harry served as Warranty/Service Manager until the factory closed in 1983.
