"In January, 2008, Jerry Gallagher began a Blog titled ""Letters To A Lost Nation"" with the purpose of commenting on the 2008 Presidential Election in the form of Letters Addressed to America as if America was a person who could be communicated with. Just as in the Author's First Book, ""Letters To a Lost Nation: A Watergate Chronicle"", Jerry Gallagher gives full credit to French-Algerian Writer, Albert Camus', for the idea of writing emotional letters to your Country to comment on Important Political Issues and Events.The 2008 election was tremendously Interesting and Historic. The Author hopes that this book captures both the Interest and the History of the Transformational Epic Election that occured in 2008. That is what Jerry has sought to do in The ""Triumph Of Barack Obama"". The book is a gathering of the Author's Blog Posts commenting on the amazing events occurring during the Primary Season ending with the Election of Barack Obama in 2008 and concluding with his Inauguration in January of 2009."

Jerry was a Reviewer for the University of Scranton's ""Best Sellers"" Magazine for several years and has also written Feature Stories, as well as Concert, Television and Movie Reviews for PA East and The Morning Call Newspapers in Eastern Pennsylvania. In addition, Jerry has also been a Guitarist, Singer and Songwriter both as a solo artist, as well as in several Folk and Rock Groups in Eastern Pennsylvania including The Lehigh Valley Folk Music Society, The Cool Breeze Band and The Earth Riders Band. Jerry's music and writing have proven to be wonderful and fulfilling hobbies but not really a source of income so Jerry worked for many years in the field of Social Work and Counseling. Since completing his Bachelors Degree in English at King's College in Wilkes Barre, PA and his Masters Degree in Counseling at Shippensburg State University of Pennsylvania in Shippensburg, PA, Jerry has worked as a Counselor, Social Worker and a Family Therapist in Eastern Pennsylvania.
