Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationSteve Troutman was born in 1952, into a family with many living grandparents, all with roots in the Mahantongo Valley, Pa. He developed an interest in local history at an early age due to his parents' interest in family history. Steve studied geology at Franklin and Marshall College, but did not pursue a career in this field. Instead, he continued working for the family business, Troutman Bros. Inc. of Klingerstown, Pa. Steve and wife Joan have written other family histories including Trautman/Troutman Family History, Vol. I and II and The Origin and History of the Jacob Masser Family of Line Mountain, Pa. They have contributed to The Klingerstown Bi-Centenial Album (1807-2007) and The Bi-Centennial Album (1803-2003) A Tribute to Jacob's (Howerter's) Union Church of Upper Mahanoy Twp., Northumberland County, Pa.
