Author Information

John Irving is Professor of Music History and Performance Practice at the University of Bristol. His main interest is in the instrumental music of Mozart. He is a frequent speaker at musicology conferences in the UK and internationally and a Council Member of the Royal Musical Association. He is General Editor of a new series of monographs on William Byrd, and editor of several volumes of the series Musica Britannica and Corpus of Early Keyboard Music. He divides him time between London and Bristol.
