The author has taught me to appreciate the sunshine, the wind, the city and the sea; and even those who have left me broken. After the first read I know it's something I'll come back to when I'm feeling ungrateful and need a reminder of just how wonderful the world is! This book of prose lifted my spirits. For a person to survive loss with healing was hopeful. The pictures joined with the moments of God's healing was very inspiring. I recommend this book for Everyone!! Thank you Haley Jones The author took me on a journey through emotions I never knew I could experience through the most beautiful story of love, loss, and self. Worth every penny (and tear) two times over. I've always identified as a writer and reader that just really doesn't like poetry. A friend gave this book to me after my partner of 6 years left me suddenly, right before a move across the country. An oddly similar situation to the author's. This book impacted me more than I could have expected, there were times I had to take a break from it, and times I had to come back. It validates the process of healing, both in taking steps backwards and forwards. But most importantly, it does it all beautifully. Outside of just how relevant it was for me, it was beautiful writing, and I loved the poetry. I recommend this to anyone who has experienced loss and grief, or those who dream of traveling and are waiting for a right time . This book will show you how it's always the right time for nature and new experiences to work their magic for you. I had the honor of hear her read a piece from her book in person and it really allowed a wonderful sense of vulnerability that brought me to want to read the rest of it. Absolutely amazing!
