OverviewThe Transactional Document Guide: A Supplement to Business Organizations: A Transactional Perspective familiarizes students with the basic forms and documents used in the life cycle of a business and illustrates how the law is applied in practice. While many standard texts feature heavily abbreviated documents, The Transactional Document Guide gives students access to complete versions, selected for their readability. All examples strike an effective balance, being concise yet thorough. Organized into three primary sections covering corporations, general partnerships, and hybrid entities, the supplement includes examples of partnership agreements, articles of organization, certificates of merger and dissolution, proxy statements, and more - 34 documents in total. Ideally designed for use with its companion primary textbook, Business Organizations: A Transactional Perspective, this guide is an accessible introduction to the real-world documents required for different forms of business. It is well-suited to courses in introductory business organization and business planning. Donald Scotten is the vice dean for administration and a professor of the practice of law at the University of Southern California's Gould School of Law.
