The Tournament

Overview

When Brad offers Tony a chance for a college scholarship, and a chance to compete on the Olympic Boxing Team, he takes it. He knows it's going to be hard work, keeping it a secret from the gang even harder, and keeping away from Kevin's sister Michelle, close to impossible. Things are hard enough, but when Tony's brother Tico steals money from their gang leader, Miguel, Tico is forced into hiding. Convinced Tony is hiding Tico from him, Miguel is determined to make Tony's life a living hell until he gives Tico up. With Tico on the run and Miguel's goons watching his every move, Tony doesn't know who to trust. Left on his own, Tony has to find a way to keep his loved ones safe, and train for the tournament, all while maintaining his grades and staying out of Miguel's way. As the tournament approaches, Tony slowly realizes that maybe people can change, new friendships can be formed, and just maybe he could get out of this hellhole after all. Maybe they all can, if he doesn't get killed first.
