Author Information

I was born in Manhattan's Lower East Side, as were many children of immigrants; but spent the rest of my life on Long Island (except for a four year stint in the US Air Force). I was initially a writer and illustrator of comic books; but after my stint in the Air Force as graphic designer/illustrator, I went into advertising and publishing, initially as a graphic designer, then as an art director, then as a copywriter, and eventually as creative director and partner in a couple of small but highly creative ad agencies. Mixed in along with all that, I also did a lot of photography and some illustration. I've won major awards, including Clios, in all the above disciplines. I'm married, and we have three sons and eleven grandchildren.Unfortunately, Austin, one of those grandchildren, died before he had a chance to be who he could be.
