The Tiger and Its Stripes

Overview

Skeet the Tiger learns a valuable lesson about friendship and responsibility after a lazy spell gives him stripes for refusing to help others. Join him on a magical adventure as he discovers the importance of helping others and the true meaning of being a friend. In a vibrant jungle filled with colorful creatures, Skeet stands out not for his stripes, but for his laziness. Unlike other tigers, he prefers lounging in the sun rather than playing with his friends or helping them with their tasks. His carefree attitude catches the attention of the King's genie, who decides to teach Skeet a lesson. After refusing to assist his friends in need, Skeet finds himself under a spell that gives him stripes, leaving him feeling lost and alone. As he navigates this new reality, Skeet embarks on a journey filled with challenges and unexpected friendships. With his stripes, he learns that true strength comes from within and that being a good friend means being there for others. Along the way, he meets various jungle animals who show him the value of teamwork and kindness. With the help of his friends, Skeet discovers that helping others can bring joy and fulfillment. As he faces obstacles, he learns to embrace his unique qualities and understand that everyone has something special to offer. The enchanting tale of Skeet the Tiger is not just about a tiger's transformation but also about the magic of friendship and the importance of stepping up when it matters most. Join Skeet on this heartwarming adventure that will inspire young readers to appreciate the power of friendship and the joy of lending a helping paw. Will Skeet lose his stripes and learn to be the friend he was meant to be? Dive into this delightful story to find out!

Author Information

Elizabeth Burns has had a fascination with books beginning very early in her childhood. She is a cancer survivor who was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma at the very young age of 6 months old. During her battle with cancer at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, she began showing extreme interest in books. Upon noticing this, Mom and Dad took the time to read books to her. She grew to not only love to read books, but also to write stories. Stories such as this one that she actually wrote for her 4th grade ELA (English Language Arts) class. We as parents thought it was so intriguing, we decided to help her make her dream of publishing her very own book a reality. We hope you enjoy her story as much as we do. God bless and may all your dreams in life come true.PS: Skeet is actually Elizabeth's dad's real name...
