Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationGeshe Dakpa Topgyal, a Tibetan Buddhist monk, was born in the Western region of Tibet, and fled to India at the age of six with his family, due to the Chinese invasion of Tibet. He entered Drepung Loseling Monastery at the age of ten and received the Geshe degree (Doctorate of Religion and Philosophy) twenty-two years later in 1992. Before coming to the United States, he taught in Europe for several years. He has been resident monk of the Charleston Tibetan Society in Charleston, South Carolina since 1996.
