Lianne's early professional life began with a scientific career in research and development whilst simultaneously competing at a high level in equestrian sport. The latter inevitably became a full-time vocation as both a professional rider and coach, which provided a wealth of invaluable experience and skills for teaching, mentoring and managing the challenges of professional sport (and life!). The opportunity to combine a scientific, analytical mind along with natural instinct, intuition and empathy made transferring these abilities to astrology as an educator, writer, researcher and consultant a natural progression. After the birth of her son, Alexander, Lianne gradually scaled back her equestrian career, instead devoting more time to her astrological studies and gaining the acclaimed Mayo School of Astrology Diploma. She then made the leap to becoming a full time professional astrologer. Her first astrology book, Juno More Than Meets The Eye, was published in February 2025.Meanwhile, after retiring fully from equestrianism, she found another sporting passion, karate. This was the perfect replacement for the physical and competitive challenge she thrives on. It was also inspiration for much of this novel. Just four years later, including continuing to train via Zoom during the Covid-19 lockdown, in December 2022 Lianne and Alexander gained Black Belt together. He was eleven years old; she was fifty! Since then, Lianne has continued her journey by not only gaining Second Dan in December 2024, and Alexander gaining his in June 2025, but by starting to learn Japanese. Lianne is also an accomplished musician.
