OverviewThe Third Giant Leap by Squire Spicket is a theatrical play set on the surface of the Moon. When the Intergalactic Construction and Colonization Company prepares to colonize Mars, hopeful applicants from the Lunar Alpha, Beta, and Gamma colonies compete for a position on the team. Undermined by disgruntled space cadets, the interviews go unquestionably wrong. The Third Giant Leap explores astronomy, geology, moon pies, and gravity resistant turnips in an adventurous story for aspiring young actors (ages 11-14). - 22 speaking roles with expandable cast - 30-40 minute performance time - Royalty-free performance rights - License to modify and make copies - Limited set and prop requirements - Ideal for schools and community theatre Squire Spicket scripts inspire creativity, promote the dramatic arts, and are teacher, parent, student, director, and producer friendly. Therefore, each script includes characters with a few lines, a lot of lines, and lines that can be read naturally from a script attached to a podium, clipboard, or other prop. The performance time for each Squire Spicket play is between 30-40 minutes; long enough to showcase your students, but short enough to keep the audience engaged throughout the entire production.
