About the author: Authentic, compelling, poignant and an absolute delight to read. This book really does take you on an emotional journey. Dash fan Chrissie Bradshaw gives this historical read a Cookson vibe but, perhaps, with more of a modern attitude. Cheryl M-M It didn't take me long at all to get into this story. In fact, as soon as I started to read, that was it I just couldn't put the book down....It travelled everywhere with me . I couldn't bear to miss a single second of the story. Ginger Book Geek I loved Rose, as a character, she just made me want to scoop her up and give a hug! An absolutely beautifully written family saga. Sharon beyond the books An endearing coming of age family saga that is filled with heightened emotions and the highs and lows of wartime Britain. I cant wait fro meore from this series.
