The Teutonic Continuance

Overview

This is a novel about the wars begun by Germany over the centuries and one family's struggle to deal with these conflicts. The story follows a German family in the 19th century who have been involved in ongoing wars. They believe as long as they live in Germany they will be drawn into more conflicts. In order to avoid involvement in future wars they move to the United States. Ironically, their descendants are drawn into German wars in the 20th century. The story continues in the present time. The sole remaining descendant of the family is given an opportunity to move back to Germany for business reasons but is faced with the prospect of being involved in yet another world war that is started by Germany. He must decide whether to accept the wealth and power that staying in Germany will bring or do something to stop it once and for all.
