In 1996 he finished his doctorate in Computer Science at the TU Kaiserslautern. From 1990 to 2009 he worked for different companies with a focus in project management. From 2009 until today he is self-employed. Since 2002 he is interested in Egyptology. Since then he visited Egypt two times, in 2007 and 2010.
