The Tempest

Overview

Play on Shakespeare is a delightful introduction to some of the characters, themes, and literary devices that make Shakespeare so well-loved. The beautiful illustrations bring the play to life and the color-coded text highlights and defines literature elements in the story, both contributing to a rich, multi-layered experience. Prospero and his lovely daughter Miranda live alone on the tiny island where they were marooned years ago, with only the island creatures for company. That is, until a powerful storm brings a boat full of strangers to the island. Magic and mystery fill the island and these pages as the story of Shakespeare's ""The Tempest"" unfold in a delightful introduction to this classic play.

Author Information

Luke Paiva has a B.A. in English and an M.Ed. from The University of Tennessee Knoxville, and is currently working on his MDiv through Reformed Theological Seminary. He has been married for fourteen years to his wife Johannah and has four children, Jack, Benjamin, Lucy, and Grace. He began his career teaching high school English and has returned to the classroom after a decade in law enforcement. He currently teaches Biblical Studies at a Christian high school in Nashville, TN and is a regular contributor to Rooted Ministry, an organization committed to advancing grace-driven youth ministry. Roberto Irace was born in Naples just in time to see the first man on the moon. He grew up reading, drawing, playing with building blocks, and scraping his knees (a lot). He now lives under a volcano in front of the sea with his love and their beautiful cat, and has a little one who also loves to read, and play with building blocks.
