Overview

A special gold edition to celebrate 100 years since first publication of Beatrix Potter's classic tale. Do you ever feel that the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence? One was a town mouse and one was a country mouse, and when they end up in each other's worlds they soon discover that they were much happier where they started! The Tale of Johnny Town-Mouse is number 13 in Beatrix Potter's charming series of 23 little books. This series includes some of the best-loved characters of children's literature- Peter Rabbit, Squirrel Nutkin, Mr. Jeremy Fisher, Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle, Jemima Puddle-Duck, and many more!

Author Information

Beatrix Potter is one of the world's best-loved children's authors of all time. From her first book, The Tale of Peter Rabbit (1902) she went on to create a series of stories based around animal characters including Mrs Tiggy-winkle, Mr Jeremy Fisher and Tom Kitten. Her humorous, lively tales and beautiful illustrations have become a natural part of childhood. A source of inspiration was the Lake District where she lived for the last thirty years of her life as a farmer and conservationist.
