à la car-do is an illustrator from Sapporo, Hokkaido who graduated from Tama Art University's Department of Graphic Design. After working as a general merchandise designer, à la car-do launched ""desicco"", a Japanese confectionery accessory brand. In 2021, the illustrator launched ""à la car-do"". In 2023, à la car-do held their first solo exhibition, ""Gokigen na Biscuit"" at Hyogensha HIRAETH. In 2024, the illustrator participated in a program called ""Felissimo"" for adults to enjoy the Sylvanian Families. As a publisher of art and visual books, PIE International publishes a large number of books on cultural arts, and creators from all across the globe. We are also active on holding events overseas and global commerce, where we focus on selling art/illustration books from modern illustrators and animators, traditional Japanese culture, Western art, and design reference books.
