Author Information

Dr Thomas Doherty is a globally recognised clinical and environmental psychologist. His research on nature and environmental-related psychology inspired the New York Times to call him 'the most prominent advocate of a growing discipline known as ecopsychology'. He is a regular guest speaker at conferences and panels worldwide on the connection between climate change and mental health. He has conducted workshops and training for organisations as diverse as the US National Park Service, the New Zealand Department of Conservation, The California Department of Health and the Association of Zoos and Acquariums. Dr Doherty is also the creator of the podcast 'Climate Change and Happiness' which he co-hosts with his Finnish colleague, climate emotions researcher Pani Pihkala. He lives in Portland, Oregon.
