He is currently a senior researcher in air transport, and research programme leader of the Transport & Infrastructure section at OTB Research Institute, Delft University of Technology. Before this he held positions at Manchester Metropolitan University (UK), Loughborough University (Transport Studies Group) (UK), and The Institute of Transportation (Ljubljana, Slovenia). Dr Janic has been involved in aviation research and planning national and international projects for about 25 years. He has also written many papers for scientific and professional journals, and conferences, as well as the book 'Air Transport System Analysis and Modelling: Capacity, Quality of Services and Economics'.
