Author Information

Shishye Thompson's life is spent in North India and the Middle East. While searching independently for truth, he discovered that religiosity was different from spirituality. A life of religious rituals and practices had little moral strength to bring transformation. He discovered that Jesus brought the Kingdom of God in this world, and with it came the transforming power of his Holy Spirit to make a difference in individuals and society. 'Sermon on the mount' in the gospels inspired him to follow Jesus in word and life. Recognizing that Christian love and outreach must take place in public places. Shishye Thompson has extensively written in Hindi language for the people living in North India and from his Shishyashram base in Delhi he is spearheading a movement, the Street Church Movement, encouraging people to not be confined within the 4 walls of their Churches, but be witnesses in the streets. Shishye Thompson travels across towns and villages meeting people and sharing the Love of God. The 'other side of the wall' is where the suffering and hopeless people live, and a Christian must meet them there just like Jesus did. People need to see Jesus walk in their streets.
