Overview

It's been said that no sunrise finds us where sunset left us. If that's true, can you imagine where you'll be after thousands of sunrises? Lots of people find themselves far away from where they started, some even farther; and there are those whose journeys take them all the way...to the very heart of it all; but is that far or very close? This is the story of someone headed in that direction. It's a book for kids of all ages, seekers en route to themselves.

Author Information

Growing up in New York City, Beau Bernstein roamed the halls and galleries of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, keeping almost every one of the little metal buttons visitors had to wear in those days as a special token of each visit. His father, having been a manger and promoter of rock n roll bands, and his mother, a broadway musical performer, ensured that Beau developed a love of the arts. During high school he learned comic book inking in the evenings at Parson's School of Design and went on to attend college the Rhode Island School of Design, where he studied Renaissance Painting Techniques and Illustration. Beau has lived in Europe and Japan; and he has always remained inspired by the artistic sensibilities of those places and the comic book illustrators of his NYC childhood. He lives with his family in New Jersey where he draws, paints, writes, drinks matcha daily, plays the Shakuhachi, and still has those little MET buttons in a treasure box to this day.
