Something happened to my little sister, Emily, last Halloween. Something so traumatic that our mom has been afraid to go into her bedroom. Something so devastating that our dad doesn't come home from work anymore. Something that even though they'll never admit it, our parents blamed me for. She vanished and I heard an officer say to another that sometimes kids just vanish.. Emily wasn't just some kid though. Although polite, she was not friendly. Not friendly enough to go off with a stranger willingly. She was right behind me when I leaned over to get candy out of the bucket on our neighbor's front porch; so I would've heard her put up a fight. I never believed she vanished... she was taken.. And I think she knew who she went with. I had to find her... and I did.. We're together now. Two girls gone.. Vanished like some kids do..
