XI ZHONGXUN (15 October 1913-24 May 2002) was a Chinese communist revolutionary and a leader of the People's Republic of China. He was the father of Xi Jinping, current president of China and General Secretary of the Communist Party. His Contributions to the Chinese communist revolution and the development of the country, from the founding of revolutionary bases in northwestern China in the 1930s to the initiation of Reform and Opening Up in southern China in the 1980s, were numerous. Above all, he was a great patriot who even today still inspires Chinese people to fight for continued revitalization. This book has collected many touching short stories from Xi Zhongxun's colleagues, friends, subordinates, and ordinary folks he encountered in his career. A native of Fuping, Shaanxi, Cui Xiaomin is Vice President of the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Revolutionary Base History Research Association and a member of the Shaanxi Writers Association. He presided over the compilation of Memorabilia of the History of the CPC in Fuping County, General Hu Jingduo, Hu Xizhong, Cao Youcan and the Anbian Uprising, Pictures of the Shaanxi-Gansu Ningxia Border Region, and various other works. Also hailing from Fuping, Cui Limin is a member of the Chinese Poetry Society and a member of the Shaanxi-Gansu-Ningxia Revolutionary Base History Research Association. His main works include Sea Hidden in a Droplet and Discussions on Micropoetry. Fuping native Wen Ruogu is a professor in the Chinese Department of the Weinan Normal University. He is the author of Flowers in Winter, Selected Poems of the Literary Mind, and other books.
