Overview

Each group of windows is first discussed in an introductory chapter dealing with aspects such as bibliography, character of the glazing, restoration, iconography, composition, ornament, color and technique, and style and dating. Then a catalogue section follows which includes entries of the individual windows with specific information on their donor, style, iconography, technique, condition and cartoon when available. The majority of the windows are presented in full-colour illustrations and all of them in black-and-white photographs, including details of the glass and its cartoon. The condition of each window has been visualized in so-called restoration charts: lead line drawings which denote the original parts and several stages of restoration work in detail. Supplementary illustrations are presented in the introductory chapters.
