Overview

When stories depict the events of life, both their interest and significance increase. In my opinion, a story is not only a means of entertainment but it is also a carrier of human civilization and human values. Scholars try to establish these values through their writings. Articles are thought-provoking but some people do not like them because they attack directly. The name of this book is The Spring' just as water comes from it, thoughts come out from each story. It spreads fragrance to make joyful life like the Spring season. Whatever be the genre and form, the basic purpose of literature is to show the mirror to the society and establish human values. Since events are woven along with storytelling in a story, it becomes more effective. In this collection, I have woven some stories based on various subjects. I have been associated with story writing for three decades, but still I do not consider myself a successful storyteller, let alone a great one. I am trying to present some of your favorite works before you. How successful I have been in this effort will be known only with your blessings. The first story is based on a burning issue of communalism. There are liberal people as well as fundamentalists in the society. One person commits a crime and the whole community has to suffer. The third story focuses on the corrupt conduct of the rich and the government system that play with the dreams of the poor. Ever since civilization has started being copied, families are falling apart. People are becoming self-centered in the blind race of enjoyment and consumption. Relationships based on selfishness are neither permanent nor pleasant. The blind race for material happiness leads us to downfall. One story focuses on this topic. In one story, an attempt has been made to depict the horrors of corruption and the dictatorship. An attempt is made to harm others through terrorism but sometimes it becomes fatal for oneself as well. The pain of losing one's loved ones is the same pain that others have to bear. This is not a solution to any problem but just a wrong step taken under influence. There are many such stories which give some message or the other.
