Althea Fisher, also known as Malika Carter, is from Danbury, Connecticut. She has loved film, hosting, and music since she was young. She later moved to Waterbury, where she grew up as the only girl with five brothers. Malika is also a proud mom of five.In 2017, she made her first on-screen appearance in the series That's A Fendy. She later became known as Malika Carter and starred as the first lady of ShotCallers the Show. She also appeared in City Limits and continues to produce and host with ShotCallers.The Spin is her debut as a published author. Her upcoming film Desperate Whispers will premiere on November 14 in Waterbury, Connecticut. With over a decade of experience, Dr. Sherrie Gilbert specializes in copywriting and editing services, emphasizing public relations (PR) and interactive marketing. Her purpose behind Prep and Prose is to assist clients with crafting and managing communication strategies that help them to accomplish their goals. Sherrie has served non-profit organizations and small businesses by creating copy for print and digital marketing materials. Additionally, she has served in the capacities of a journalist, writing consultant, university lecturer, and division chair in a mix of business and educational settings. Her teaching repertoire includes media and communication writing, PR Campaigns, professional speaking, and workplace communication, and she has presented research at national conferences, including the American Association for Adult and Continuing Education and the Association for the Study of Higher Education. Sherrie holds a Ph.D. in Adult Education and a M.A. in Communication and Journalism, both from Auburn University, as well as a B.A. in English from Spelman College.
