When it comes to speaking and presentations Joel has been studying, doing and teaching it for over 20 years. Joel Sweeney is the owner of Professionally Speaking; a Newfoundland, Canada based business established in 1995. In addition to The Speaker's Tool Box he is the author of The Wedding MC Handbook and Little Helpings of Food for Thought. He has been a member of Toastmasters International since 1989 and has attained several designations including their highest designation Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM). Joel is a founding member and Past President of the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Professional Speakers (NLAPS), he is President (2014) of the Canadian Association of Professional Speakers (CAPS) Atlantic Chapter and he is a member of the Global Speakers Federation (GSF).
