He has a great love of chess and a long affiliation with the game both as a player and administrator for his club, county, and union. His interest in chess-playing was fostered as a child by his uncles when he first saw them playing the game whilst staying at his grandmother's during the Christmas holidays. His interest in the game was nurtured when he was at primary school and consolidated by his secondary school along with his chess coach. Anthony is currently working on other chess writing projects.
