Their devotion to the Lord, his Cause and his Church is a living testament to the character of this godly and dedicated couple. I am constantly encouraged by their vision, passion, tireless energy, and commitment to training and mobilising people for church planting and ministry. The influence of their lives across the Indonesian archipelago is incalculable. They are highly respected leaders, a true 'mother and father' in the faith, and an example to younger generations of leaders of how to serve God with all your heart. I'm delighted this book has been written about their lives and pray you'll be inspired by it. -Bruce Hills, International Director, World Outreach Pastors Samuel and Carolyn Soukotta have devoted their lives to the growth and development of the church and to Christian education in their beloved Indonesia. Their faithfulness to their vision, submission to the leading of the Holy Spirit, and faith-filled life are an inspiration and blessing to many. The success of their leadership is undergirded by a life of integrity. They are known and respected as a couple who bring passion, faith and optimism to every situation. From a young age, Rev. Samuel Soukotta understood his calling as an evangelist and apostolic leader in the Body of Christ. Since then, he and his wife have taken significant risks and sacrificed greatly to outwork the calling God has given them. Today, God's work in Indonesia is thriving. In part, this is due to their years of endurance, godly character, and strong family life. Their story is one that will bring a fresh and biblical paradigm to Christian leadership. My prayer is that through these two servants of God, readers will be inspired and motivated to apply the principles they have lived by. I believe that as a result of this book, many quality leaders will be birthed and raised up to continue their legacy in Indonesia and around the world. -Dr. Kalis Stevanus, Academic Dean, Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Tawangmangu, (Tawangmangu Bible College) My first visit to Sam and Carol at Tawangmangu Bible College in Indonesia was in 1981. This trip challenged my thinking about missions and set me on a course of helping missionaries and those serving Christ off the shores of New Zealand. I have always been impressed by Sam's strong convictions and his sense of humour, especially when he was interpreting. Carol has always carried the poise of a stateswoman and possesses a godly, no-nonsense commitment to her faith and the cause of Christ. Together, over many decades, they have maintained their mission focus without deviation, being a couple showing persevering faith in action, and taking seriously their goal to prepare the younger generation to serve Christ. I honour them as a couple and commend them for the work they have achieved for Christ. -Ps Kem Price, Director of Missions (1983-2003), New Zealand Assemblies of God Sam and Carol are two of World Outreach's most senior, experienced and esteemed missionaries.
