Overview

Twelve days before retirement, Taipei police detective Wu is handed a curious case: a Navy officer has been found dead in his hotel room. While it is immediately apparent to Wu that the officer has been murdered, the military insist it was suicide and want the case closed with no questions asked. Soon, however, more high-ranking Navy officers turn up dead, and Wu realizes he has a full-blown conspiracy on his hands. Chang Kuo-Li is an award-winning novelist, historian, poet, and playwright. He has published more than thirty books over the course of his career, many of which have been adapted for film and television. He lives in Taiwan. Roddy Flagg is a freelance translator who resides in Edinburgh, Scotland. He has translated short stories by Diao Dou and Chen Chongzheng, among others. Chang Kuo-Li's The Sniper is his first full-length translation. David Shih is a Taiwanese-American actor and voice actor who voiced Eddie Toh in Grand Theft Auto V and a gangster in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. His television credits include Interpol Investigates, Blue Bloods, and All My Children.
