Author Information

Dr. Yu is a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in the evidence-based assessment and treatment of anxiety, depression, eating disorders, trauma, and behavioral health conditions such as obesity and sleep difficulties. Dr. Yu received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers University. She completed both her clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship in the Behavioral Medicine Program at the Veterans Affairs Palo Alto Medical Center. Her clinical training also includes experiences as an individual and family therapist, skills trainer, and behavioral health consultant at the Eating and Weight Disorders Program at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety at the University of Pennsylvania, the Dialectical Behavior Therapy Clinic at Rutgers University, and the Division of Family Medicine at Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Dr. Diana Hu is a clinical psychologist in private practice in Seattle, WA. She utilizes evidence-based methods to treat anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship struggles, and generational acculturation issues. She also enjoys baking, cuddling with her two cats, and trying to keep her houseplants alive. Dr. Hod Tamir is a developmental psychologist and licensed mental health counselor. His practice, The WISR Place, focuses on wellbeing, identity, sexuality, and relationships. After completing his PhD in Psychology at Florida International University, Hod worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Columbia University and the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Tamir is now focused on clinical practice, teaching, and developing tools to make mental health treatment more accessible. Anna is a freelance writer and editor based in San Francisco. She has a BA in Creative Writing and Political Science and a MA in English Literature, both from Tulane University. She has spent the last ten years in ed tech. She has worked on global teams scaling platforms to worldwide audiences, launched new courses and verticals on everything from nursing to corporate compliance, and translated complex technology concepts into salient narratives that energize customers.She writes personal essays under her own byline about running, relationships, and songs that make her cry. She is a nonfiction essay reader for The Rumpus. Dana earned her master's degree in journalism from Boston University. She has worked as a writer, editor, web producer, blogger, and social media manager for various publications and outlets in Boston. She spent four years as the associate editor for Eater Boston and a contributor for Eater.com, and now does freelance work.
