They show how to get the most from every bit of evidence, whether it is a ship part, an old illustration, or the physical settings of the finds.'--Edward Von der Porten Ships in Scale, Nov/Dec 2008

Author Information

Ole Crumlin-Pedersen († 2011) spent the greater part of his life in charge of Denmark’s maritime heritage as a curator of maritime archaeology and ships at the Danish National Museum (1962-2003). In 1993, a major ten-year grant from The Danish National Research Foundation enabled Crumlin-Pedersen to expand the Roskilde institutions into an international research centre, at which maritime archaeology could be studied in its broader archaeological and historical context.
