Reviews

Once again, Dr. Ryan has us gasping at the wonders of our own bodies! In the Why Your Body Is Special series, Dr. Ryan has already explored the strongest organ, the spongiest, and the wisest. Now, let's hear it from the largest. Can you guess what it is? The skin! We see it every day. It is a big part of who we are. It protects us and allows us to feel warmth and cold, softness and danger, but what do we truly know about it? Readers will be in awe of all the things their skin does, how it works, and why it is the color it is. This book is for the curious, the explorers, and the children who know how fun it is to learn. So don't miss out on the secrets beneath your skin, because the biggest mysteries are sometimes hiding in plain sight. -Ann Collins, Book Reviewer
