OverviewWe all know we have five senses: sight, hearing, smell, touch and taste. But if you strip these away, you are not left with nothing. There is still something there. Where does the original thought come from when I write a book, or a song? How is life created? How did you know something was going to happen, and then it does? These things are impossible. There is only one person who can do the impossible and that is God. So I call the sixth sense God. Our ancestors used to give God the credit for all sorts of things: the weather, their growing crops, their children. They had a sense of wonder about the world that they lived in. We need to get back that sense of wonder. Yes, academics have provided scientific explanation for many of the things that our ancestors gave God the credit for, but the scientists cannot create life. Life is impossible: it shouldn't happen, but it does. We are surrounded by it. Life is the real miracle.
