OverviewA former professional goaltender, LP Guindon retired in 2022 after a decorated career that culminated with the prestigious Jean Béliveau Award as McGill's most valuable player. Rather than walk away from the game, he turned retirement into a research question: why do some goalies make it to the top, and others don't? That curiosity drove him to pursue a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology at McGill University, where his thesis focused specifically on goaltending. This book is the direct result of that work. Trained in kinesiology, human physiology, and behavioural science, he brings an evidence-based lens to a position that is too often coached by intuition alone. He is currently the goalie coach of the McGill Redbirds and runs a website dedicated to goaltending development for youth players. This book is for every goalie who ever wondered what separates good from great and was willing to look for the answer.
